What’s in the Guide
Our Signature pulls together the best of the valley: where to stay along the coast and how each area feels, the places we’d eat at again, the bars worth working through, and a day out on the water. We’ve also mapped out some great year end experiences to choose from.
Year One in Asia
For twenty years, the world’s biggest music festival has lived in one field in Belgium. This December it builds the whole thing in Thailand, at Wisdom Valley near Pattaya, from 11 to 13 December.
Just about 50K people a day, which makes year one the smallest and coziest this will ever be. The Mainstage brings the fireworks and the anthems. Core is house and techno, done properly. Freedom is indoors, air-conditioned, and home to the underground. A dozen more stages rise across the valley, each its own world.

“Martin Garrix and Swedish House Mafia headline the festival, both playing in Thailand for the first time.”
They’re joined by more than 100 artists from over 20 countries across seven stages. Afrojack, Alok, Alan Walker, Steve Aoki, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Lost Frequencies bring the big-room energy. Aly & Fila, Cosmic Gate and Ferry Corsten take care of the trance. Kölsch, Lilly Palmer, Kevin de Vries and ARTBAT lead the darker hours. CORE and Freedom, two of Tomorrowland’s most-loved stages in Belgium, also make their Asian debut.
More than 20 Thai artists are on the bill too, including Nakadia. She grew up in rural Thailand without electricity or running water and went on to become one of Asia’s first globally recognised techno artists, playing more than 2,000 shows across 90 countries. This December, she plays Tomorrowland on home soil.
See you at Consciencia.
