About Saute

Today, travel is no longer a break from life, but life itself, for a lot of us. Since the earliest civilizations, being on the move and finding new things has led to the greatest of discoveries and the most poetic stories we hear of, till date.

Albeit, most of us get stuck in a loop of tabs and price comparisons, and settle for the same off-the-shelf tours everyone else has already done. Talk to a traveler and they would be excited about the trip itself.

What everyone is really after is the thing they did not know existed and end up loving.

During our trips, we met a lot of independent people who host experiences in Thailand, a whole world sitting just outside the mainstream. Workshops run from family homes. Diners that have cooked the same dish for decades. Listening bars with a handful of seats, Muay Thai gyms where fighters actually train, craftspeople who still work by hand. They are beautifully run, completely real, and mostly never found by the people who would love them most.

Fun fact, these experiences exist everywhere.

Every one of them has a story, and those stories are what make a place worth the flight. It is the kind of travel Anthony Bourdain spent his life championing, where the people are the point.

Saute exists to find these people, bring their stories to life and connect the world with beautiful stories again. For us, we hope to build a borderless world, an interconnected universe where every kind of story finds its space.

Built on these beliefs, Saute is an effort of a collective to bring what matters most to travel, stories and experiences. Everything else, be it planning, booking tickets, finding the right stay, accessing a concert, or getting assistance with anything on a land far from home, will be handled by us.

Saute is a name that comes from the kitchen. To saute is to toss ingredients together over high heat, and the magic is in the mix. Each ingredient is good on its own, but, together, they taste better than any of them could alone. We bring that same magic to travel.
